For the last few weeks and culminating at the Board of Directors Meeting Tuesday Night ACB has been engaged in a few hard and emotional conversations. Sides have been taken, accusations thrown, and way, way to many feelings were bruised. Micro-aggressions both intended and accidental have become major parts of the conversations.
I have invited the stake-holders of the affiliates and committees to participate as individuals and not wearing their leadership hats to hear and share their feelings in this safe space. I implore our leadership to join and listen to our members; hearts, minds and experiences.
—— to the leaders and persons with differing views, that I extended a formal invitation to today’s listening session who decided to decline I would like to assure you that all thoughts and feelings that will be shared today are welcome, and will be respected and respectful. Even if you declined the formal invitation, or as in some cases ignored it, I still very much welcome you to Sunday edition, and hope that even if you decide not to join us in person, you would be listening over ACB media.

It is my hope we can begin to heal and begin a true constructive conversation going forward.
