Through interactive discussions, small group collaborations, and role playing exercises, you’ll gain practical strategies and confidence to amplify your voice. Ever wonder how smartphones, apps, and websites become accessible to people who are blind or have low vision? Join T-Mobile’s Accessibility Resource Center for a guided journey behind the scenes, where you’ll hear the real story of how digital access is made possible – from the ideas to the coding, testing, and teamwork it takes. We’ll share how T-Mobile works to build digital tools that work for everyone – including a peek into our open-source resource called MagentaA11y, which helps our developers create websites that screen readers and other assistive tools can navigate with ease. You’ll also experience a unique training tool we created called Accessibility 101, a fun and interactive way our employees learn what it’s like to use digital products with a disability. Whether you use a screen reader yourself, help others use technology, or are just curious about how accessibility happens in big companies, you’ll come away with new insights and stories from the people doing the work. In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn practical steps to use Aira and meet some of our key national and local partners like Walmart, Chase, Starbucks, Target, Dallas Love Field, Amazon, the Texas Workforce Commission, and more. Explore how these organizations are actively promoting access as a human right with Jenine Stanley, Director, Customer Success and Engagement, and the Aira Learning and Development Team. Plus, get hands-on with the latest features of our mobile and web apps.

Join the HumanWare team as they discuss and demonstrate some exciting updates across the product line, including the exclusive opportunity to test drive multi-line braille support with screen readers on the Monarch Dynamic Tactile Display. During the session, we will demonstrate Prodigi magnification software that runs on a Windows machine, as well as show our hand-held and desktop video magnifiers. We have a range of new features and enhancements on the Brailliant devices including: reference tools like Wikipedia and Wiktionary, text-to-speech available on the Mantis Q40, and we will preview the upcoming KeySoft update for the BrailleNote which will feature a new math mode and a media player.
