    The Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia is one of the oldest schools for the blind in the United States. It is a private school, not operated by the state of Pennsylvania. Lyle Sine entered Overbrook as a preschooler in 1962, and he graduated from high school there in 1977. Lyle was elected to serve as the Alumni representative to the Overbrook Board of Trustees in 2018, and he became the first visually impaired person to serve as President of the Board in 2023. Share his journey from student to president and learn how a private school for the blind provides its many programs in today’s world.
