July 2, 2022Reservations about traveling independently? Do you avoid using your white cane simply because you fear it places a target on your back? Are you one of thousands of Americans who have been physically or sexually attacked? Well you’re not alone, and the team at STRIVE4YOU want to share our one-of-a-kind safety education & self-defense program that has been specifically designed by and for people with disabilities during one of two introductory workshops. The SEED program of STRIVE4YOU’s mission is to create a culture of safety and security for all, implementing a holistic circle of services training body, mind, and spirit. Join us as we explore essential techniques for keeping us safe at home and while we are getting out and active in our communities. Learn how what we say and how we say it can empower us.
